Interesting story with very complex psychological and emotional themes. I’m sure it’s difficult to explore and sum it all up. 6 months is a short time to reverse the effect of a lifetime of indoctrination. Do you see your black friends outside of the townships or do you keep them segregated from your other friends?
Jay, my transformation actually occurred in a split second, rather than over 6 months. In that moment, a lifetime of fear disappeared.
